【新型コロナウイルス情報】　サンタクララ郡とサンノゼ市でマスク着用が義務付け

サンノゼは今日から3日間熱波注意報が発令されています。午前中から摂氏35度を超える気温が夜まで続き、いかに短時間で火を使わない食事づくりの工夫ができるかが勝負どころです。

そんな暑さのなかでも、今のサンノゼ市では、外出や買い物時にはマスクを着用しないといけません。

以下に、サンタクララ郡とサンノゼ市でのマスク着用のルールをご紹介します。

The city wants to require nearly anytime you leave the house

Starting Friday, here is where you are required to wear a face covering in Santa Clara County:

•Nonessential businesses reopening for curbside pickup, including bookstores, clothing stores, florists and sporting goods stores

•Outdoor businesses, such as nurseries

•Grocery stores and other essential businesses

•Public transit

Here are the exemptions:

•Children under the age of six

•People who have trouble breathing

•People who are unable to remove a face covering without assistance

Here's when you can go mask-free:

•In the comfort of your own home or car

•During exercise — walking, biking, hiking or running

How San Jose would go further:

San Jose's proposed ordinance would mandate that residents wear a face mask — or at least have them with them — in most instances when they leave the house.

The proposal, submitted by vice mayor Chappies Jones and council member Sergio Jimenez, states that a face covering would be required when:

•Interacting in-person with any member of the public or coworkers outside of members of your immediate household

•Working in any space visited by members of the public, including reception areas, service counters, public restrooms or commons areas

•In any room or enclosed area when other people — except for members of the person's own household — are present, including coworkers

Residents would not be required to wear a mask when exercising. But, if they were to walk in a park where dozens of residents are also enjoying the same space, they would be asked to put them on.

先週の金曜より、サンタクララ郡から外出時にマスク着用が求められている場所の一覧：

●エッセンシャル・ビジネス（生活に必要不可欠な業種）以外の小売店での事前購入による店舗先での受け取り（書店、衣料品店、花屋、スポーツ用品店など）

●保育園などの屋外ビジネス

●食料品店およびその他のエッセンシャル・ビジネス（生活に必要不可欠な業種）

●公共交通機関の利用

マスクの着用が免除される場合：

●6歳未満の子供

●呼吸に困難がある人

●第三者の補助なしにマスクを外せない人

マスクフの着用が不要とされる場合：

●自宅や車内

●運動中：ウォーキング、サイクリング、ハイキング、ランニング

サンノゼ市はサンタクララ郡よりマスク着用義務の強化を検討中：

サンノゼ市では、現在、住民が外出する場合は必ずマスクを着用する条例の施行を検討しており、次のような条件を吟味している。

●同居世帯以外の住民との対話時

●レセプションエリア、サービスカウンター、公衆トイレ、公共区域などなど、同居世帯以外の住民がいる部屋もしくは環境の利用時

●運動時にマスクの着用は不要だが、公園などで何十人もの住民が同じ空間にいる場合

サンタクララ郡同様に、

●6歳未満の子供

●呼吸に困難がある人

●第三者の補助なしにマスクを外せない人

には着用免除が検討されている。

5月19日のサンノゼ市議会では、満場一致でマスクの着用を義務付ける条例を採択されませんでした。

サンタクララ郡公衆衛生局長からの法令に照らし、サンノゼ市検事が提案した条例の再起草は、6月2日に延期されているそうです。

いずれにせよ、サンノゼ市やベイエリアで気軽に外出や、まして観光を楽しめるようになるには、まだまだ時間が必要なようですね。
